Riding Lessons

Alder Stables offers two different types of lessons; Basic riding lessons, and Show lessons. Please call for availability. Basic Riding lessons are for anyone looking to learn how to ride a horse. Show lessons are for anyone looking to start showing horses or who is currently showing their horse. Below is a slide show of our basic lesson students and our show kids. Enjoy!

Basic riding lessons are for anyone who would like to learn about horse back riding or has ridden in the past and would like a tune up. We have several programs such as our horse riding course, our adult lesson course, and our adult exercise course.

Show lessons are available for anyone looking to enhance their showing experience. Our goal is to help you achieve your goals with your horse in the show pen. We specialize in western, showmanship, hus, equitation, trail, western riding, trail in hand, jumping (up to two foot.) dressage (training level) and speed events. If you are interested in jumping, dressage or speed lessons you must have your own horse.

Our horse riding course has three different age groups for kids. Pee wee (ages 4-6) jrs (7-12) and sr (ages 13-18). This is an 8 week course for kids to learn showmanship, horsemanship and trail. They will also learn how to properly take care of their horse, proper horse parts and grooming as well as three patterns with their horse. At the end of the 8 week course there will be a mini horse show at the farm for the kids to show family and friends what they have learned over the last two months.

Our adult exercise course is a fun 5 week course that helps you exercise your core, butt, thighs, and arms. Great way to have fun, working out with your friends on horseback.
